A membership association with teachers in several cities
An international club whose teachers and members need club email and a website, in two languages.
The situation
The association's website and email ran on a hosting provider's website builder. Nobody was watching whether mail arrived, and there were no backups the association controlled.
What DARCH did
- Moved every mailbox to DARCH's own mail server, with its full message history.
- Set up the protections that stop others sending mail in the association's name, and checked them against Gmail and Outlook.
- Built and published a new website in two languages.
- Wrote a help page in both languages for members, with a signature generator.
- Added checks every five minutes, nightly encrypted backups, and a monthly restore test.
The result
- 10 out of 10 on the mail-tester.com delivery test.
- Domain, accounts and data in the association's own name.
- Members set up their own email from one page, in their own language.
History
- DARCH opens for its first clients.
- First client website live.
- The first client's email moves to DARCH's own mail server.
- Mail sent directly from DARCH's server scores 10/10 on mail-tester.com.
- Members' help page and signature generator published.
- Live status dashboard, logs and full documentation in place.
- Server and network history added to the dashboard; engine history backed up nightly.
